A Shared Covenant

The Fearless Household Charter

Our shared foundation for Christ-centered community.

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

1 Corinthians 12:27

Our Foundation

Jesus Christ is our foundation.

The Fearless Household is a network of households and local communities seeking to follow Him through faithful stewardship, trusted relationships, and love in action.

We seek to replace fear with faith, isolation with connection, scarcity with stewardship, and dependence with collaborative resilience.

We believe God has entrusted different gifts, abilities, relationships, resources, and opportunities to each of us. When those gifts are faithfully developed and willingly brought together, households become stronger and communities become increasingly capable of caring for one another.

This is the pattern we see in the Body of Christ and in the fellowship of Acts 2: people centered in Christ, gathered in relationship, praying together, willingly sharing what they had, and responding to needs.

Our Shared Principles

Christ

We seek first to follow Jesus Christ.

No founder, organization, Pod, servant, donor, teacher, or governing structure stands between an individual and Christ.

Our unity does not require uniformity of background, denomination, experience, or understanding. Our unity is found in Him.

Our Shared Principles

Agency

We honor the God-given agency and dignity of every person.

Participation is voluntary. Love, service, generosity, stewardship, and unity cannot be compelled.

We reject coercion, manipulation, domination, and the concentration of controlling authority in any person or group.

No person's wealth, personality, position, influence, resources, or stewardship gives that person greater inherent standing than another.

Our Shared Principles

Stewardship

We seek to faithfully develop what God has entrusted to us.

Our time, talents, knowledge, relationships, homes, land, skills, resources, and opportunities are stewardships.

We therefore begin not by asking, What do we lack? but:

What has God already placed in our hands?

Like the servants in the Parable of the Talents, we seek to develop and multiply what we have received and use it in the service of God and others.

Our Shared Principles

One Body

We choose relationship over isolation.

Different members possess different gifts, and each is needed.

Fearless Pods are local communities where trust can grow and households can learn to pray together, serve together, share burdens, exchange value, recognize needs, and care for one another.

Our goal is not complete self-sufficiency. It is faithful interdependence—strong households freely choosing to strengthen one another.

Our Shared Principles

Voice • Vote • Value

We protect agency in the way we make decisions and steward resources.

VOICE — Every person is heard. Meaningful decisions begin with listening, discussion, questions, concerns, and discernment.

VOTE — We seek common consent. We do not use majority power to force significant collective decisions upon a minority. We seek unity before acting together.

VALUE — Stewardship remains connected to the people who contribute it. Time, talents, labor, money, property, and other resources are offered voluntarily. Contribution does not purchase control, and collective resources are administered as stewardships rather than sources of personal power.

Those entrusted with responsibility are servants, not rulers. Their responsibility is to facilitate, coordinate, protect agency, and carry out decisions reached together.

Our Commitment

As participants in The Fearless Household, we seek to:

  • follow Jesus Christ;
  • protect the agency and dignity of every person;
  • faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us;
  • build relationships strong enough to carry one another's burdens;
  • give freely and receive humbly;
  • serve without seeking control, status, or recognition;
  • seek unity without demanding uniformity;
  • practice Voice • Vote • Value in our shared decisions and resources; and
  • put love into action through prayer, service, generosity, exchange, preparation, and mutual care.

We do not prepare because we are afraid of what may happen.

We strengthen our households and communities because we love those we may someday be called to serve.

Our Declaration

  • Faith over fear.
  • Stewardship over scarcity.
  • Relationship over isolation.
  • Service over control.
  • Generosity over accumulation.
  • Unity in Christ without forced uniformity.

We enter this shared covenant freely, trusting that as we seek first the Kingdom of God and faithfully offer what He has placed in our hands, He can multiply those gifts for the blessing of many.
