Honest answers about what The Fearless Household is, how Pods work, and what it means to belong.
No. The Fearless Household is a network of Christ-centered households, not a church. We do not replace the local church, pastoral oversight, sacraments, or preaching. Many Pod members are actively involved in local congregations. Pods are simply a way for households to practice faith, stewardship, and mutual support in everyday life—across denominational lines, in their own neighborhoods.
No. We are not affiliated with a single denomination. We share a common commitment to Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and the historic Christian faith. Pods welcome households from many traditions who want to live out their faith in practical community. If you can affirm the basics of the Christian faith, you are welcome at the table.
There is no membership fee to belong to a Fearless Pod. We do encourage households to practice stewardship together—sharing skills, meals, resources, and occasional giving as needs arise. Some community events or gatherings may involve shared costs (a potluck dish, a group purchase, a campout), but participation is never dependent on money. Generosity is voluntary, not required.
We ask each household to walk in good faith: show up, speak honestly, keep your word, and contribute according to your capacity. Pods use Voice · Vote · Value to make decisions together, which means everyone is heard, major decisions require common agreement, and everyone is invited to give back. We do not expect perfection. We do expect sincerity, humility, and a willingness to grow.
Most Pods gather at least twice a month—often for a shared meal, prayer, and conversation. Some households spend more time together as friendships deepen. There is no mandatory attendance policy. We believe trust grows through presence over time, so we encourage regular participation, but we also respect the seasons of family life.
You share only what you are comfortable sharing. A basic profile helps Pods know who is in community, but details like your address, phone number, and household information are visible only to members of your own Pod and only as needed. Disagreement is normal and expected. Voice · Vote · Value is designed to protect individual conscience. Major decisions require common agreement, which means no one is forced along. If a decision cannot be made in unity, the Pod waits, prays, or explores alternatives. You are always free to decline participation in any specific activity without losing your place in the community.
Yes. Membership in a Pod is voluntary. If you discern that it is time to step away, we ask that you communicate with your Pod in love and honor. There are no penalties for leaving. Our hope is that even those who move on remain part of the wider Fearless Household network in spirit.
Absolutely. The Fearless Table is designed for curious households. You are welcome to come, eat, ask questions, and meet people without any commitment. It is often the best first step for those who want to understand what a Pod is really like.
