Avoid speeches or arguments for the proposal. Simply frame the question.

A Simple Guide to Voice • Vote • Value
A V3 meeting is a working meeting. Relationship-building happens throughout the life of the Pod; V3 provides a focused process when the Pod needs to make a shared decision.
The goal is not to talk until everyone agrees. The goal is to hear every Voice, discover whether unity exists, and protect agency when it doesn't.
Before You Begin
Ask before you act.
If the answer to any of these questions is no, don't force the decision.
- Is there actually a decision to make?
- Does this require Pod action, or can households act individually?
- Can the question be stated clearly?
- Do the people affected have an opportunity to participate?
- Is there enough information to make the decision?
- Are we approaching the decision from peace rather than fear or urgency?
The V3 Meeting Process
Four movements. One protected process.

VOICE
Move around the group in order.
Offer a new idea
“I suggest…”
Express support
“I support…”
Raise a concern or reservation
“I have a concern…”
Agree without repeating
“I agree with Sarah.”
Pass
“Pass.”
No interruptions or cross-talk. Additional rounds may be taken when useful.

DISCERN
The Acting Servant determines whether the proposal appears ready to test.
- Has everyone been heard?
- Is the proposal clear?
- Have significant concerns surfaced?
- Does there appear to be general alignment?
- Is the room operating from peace rather than pressure?
If not, continue Voice or let the proposal rest.

TEST CONSENT
The Acting Servant asks: “Do we have a move to consent?”
One participant: “I move to consent.”
Another: “I second.”
Then every participant chooses: CONSENT or WITHHOLD CONSENT.
No explanation is required.
If Consent Is Unanimous
The Record Keeper records:
- •the decision
- •voluntary commitments
- •responsible stewards
- •any agreed next steps
Then move on.
If Consent Is Withheld
Stop. Do not lobby. Do not ask the person to defend the decision. Instead:
BACKTRACK
Find the last point of genuine agreement.
REST
Set aside the unresolved proposal.
RETURN
Revisit it later if greater clarity emerges.
Individual households remain free to act within their own stewardship.

A focused hour.
00–10 MINUTES
GATHER & FRAME
Settle in, review the agenda, identify the decisions requiring V3, and clearly frame the first question.
10–35 MINUTES
VOICE
Move around the group in orderly Voice rounds.
35–45 MINUTES
DISCERN & CONSENT
Clarify proposals, discern readiness, and test consent where appropriate.
45–55 MINUTES
STEWARDSHIP & NEXT STEPS
Record decisions, voluntary commitments, responsible stewards, and resting proposals.
55–60 MINUTES
CLOSE
Review what was decided, identify what remains at rest, and confirm any next meeting or follow-up.
