What He Has Entrusted to Me

The Stewardship Covenant

My covenant with God concerning what He has entrusted to me.

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards.”

1 Peter 4:10

My Stewardship

I believe God has entrusted me with gifts, abilities, experiences, relationships, opportunities, time, and resources for a purpose.

I do not need to possess everything my household or community may someday need.

I need to become faithful with what God has placed in my hands.

I Will Discover

I will prayerfully seek to recognize what God has entrusted to me.

I will begin with gratitude rather than scarcity and ask:

  • What has God already placed in my hands, and how might He have me use it?

I Will Develop

I will seek to multiply rather than merely preserve what I have received.

I will strengthen useful skills, knowledge, relationships, resources, and capabilities so that my household becomes increasingly capable of serving others.

I Will Share

I will hold my stewardship with an open hand.

Sharing does not require reckless giving or neglecting responsibilities God has already placed in my care. But neither will I assume that everything entrusted to me exists solely for my benefit.

As God directs and circumstances allow, I will use what I have been given to bless others.

I Will Remain Teachable

My stewardship is not my identity or my status.

My abilities, circumstances, and opportunities will change. I will continue learning and remain willing for God to reveal new ways I can serve.

I will not compare my stewardship with another's or allow differences in wealth, ability, resources, or capacity to determine anyone's worth.

My Covenant

Before God, I seek to become a faithful steward.

  • I will discover what He has entrusted to me.
  • I will develop it.
  • I will share it as He directs and as I am able.
  • I will remain teachable.

I seek wisdom before acting, generosity without compulsion, preparation without fear, and service without expectation of control or recognition.

I do not covenant to possess everything. I covenant to become faithful with what God has already placed in my hands.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body,  as it hath pleased him.

1 Peter 4:10
